The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has approved a ₹2,250 crore investment programme to establish new industrial areas across the state while strengthening infrastructure within its existing industrial estates. The decision was taken during UPSIDA's annual board meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary for Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Alok Kumar II.
The approved investment forms part of UPSIDA's ₹8,000 crore budget for the 2026-27 financial year. The initiative is aimed at supporting Uttar Pradesh's industrial expansion by creating new manufacturing and business hubs while improving the quality of infrastructure in operational industrial estates.
As part of the programme, UPSIDA will conduct feasibility studies to identify suitable locations for new industrial areas. Site selection will be based on factors such as industrial demand, land availability, and prevailing land prices to ensure long-term viability and balanced regional development.
The authority also approved layout plans for new industrial estates at Katayi Mill in Fatehpur and at Sandhinawa and Trishundi in Ayodhya. These approvals are expected to accelerate land development, facilitate faster plot allotments, and enable the timely creation of roads, utilities, and other essential infrastructure required for industrial operations.
The expansion reflects Uttar Pradesh's continued focus on strengthening its industrial ecosystem through planned infrastructure development, improved land availability, and enhanced readiness for future manufacturing investments.
